William McIntyre

A self-taught cartoonist specializing in figurative illustration using acrylic ink and watercolor, the artist also holds a BA in journalism and has pursued graduate studies in political theory and history. Prior to focusing on art, William made a living as a welder, fitter, and burner, particularly working with architectural decorative metals, primarily in steel with ornate blacksmithing. Additionally, he has experience in steel detailing, creating shop drawings for fabrication using programs like Autocad and supervising cutting machines.

With a penchant for whimsy and a contemporary aesthetic, the artist's work often explores the abstract nature of the human form and condition, drawing inspiration from Cubism and surrealism. While William acknowledges the digital influence in art, he prefers hands-on techniques over digital methods, finding them more enjoyable. William's art is a reflection of his passion for creativity and self-expression.
